What are the requirements?
After you have submitted your project, our team will review it to measure whether it meets our standards. This is what we are looking for:
1.) Quality Storytelling.
2.) Quality Production Value.
3.) The audio in a Digital Cinema Package (DCP) must be in minimum, 5.1 or 7.1 channels of discrete audio. The minimum for a non-mono configuration of the audio shall be three channels as Left, Center, Right (a Left/Right configuration is not acceptable in a theatrical environment). In addition to channel-based audio, object-based audio may also be present as an immersive audio bitstream.
4.) Minimum of 720 HD.
5.) Proof of licenses for any music, stock footage, etc.
6.) An IMDb page with accurate information regarding the project.
How much will you pay me to feature my work?
You have two options:
Option A: You submit your project for us to present on our platform for FREE. You will then reserve the right to share it onto other platforms like Youtube, Vimeo, festivals etc. with the intention to help grow your audience and get your work seen by as many people as possible. Your project will be featured here for 2 years. If we want to extend your stay here on SkySoft we will offer you a place on our Premium service so you can monetize your work through our platform while also continuing to grow your audience on as many platforms as possible.
In addition, we will use our other platforms to help advertise your project for FREE. This includes social media shout outs, SkyWire Digital interviews, podcast interviews, panels in our SkySoft Fest and finally, your work will qualify for our annual SkyWire Awards. These may not be much to you, but they're big deals to us and our team. We put countless hours in these extensions and have found that they do, in fact, help with our reach.
Option B: We'll pay you. In accordance to our payment (the dollar amount depends on our negotiations), you agree that your work will only be shared on our platform. Your project's duration on our site depends on our negotiations. Use of our other platforms will also depend on our negotiations.
What are the benefits?
If you're seeking to submit your work anywhere, it's because you want it to be seen. If you want it to be seen, it's most likely because it's not being seen currently or you're unsure of how many viewers it will attract on congested sites like Youtube and Vimeo. Here, our viewers are itching for content from filmmakers just like you! We offer you consistent views from our site members.
What's in it for you?
This is one of the reasons why we created SkySoft in the first place. There isn't a lot of support for up and coming filmmakers with the intention to actually get their work seen. Like you, we depended and banked on the views from congested sites like Youtube and Vimeo, only to get lost in the crowds of vlogs, short films, interviews, fan videos- you name it! So we created our own platform and gained our own viewers, site members and fans with a little money, and a ton of hard work. We're not as big or as popular as major companies but we take SkySoft just as seriously. Your work will help us grow our audiences as well. So far, we've only been known to feature our own original content. now that we have some room to play with, we'd like to extend what we feature on our site.
Who will review my work?
SkySoft has departments that feature their own members of the board. Your work will be reviewed by SkySoft Stream's Board Members with extra assistance from SkySoft Premium.
How many projects may I submit?
Maximum of 3 separate projects, however, we are not permitted to accept all three at once. This means, if one of your three projects passes, we will only accept the one. This is not an 'all or nothing' situation.
Do you accept series or films?
Both.
1 Series/1 Film = 1 Project
Are short films ok?
Yes.
Are animated films ok?
Yes.
Are documentaries ok?
Yes.
Do they have to be union projects?
No.

Your work will NOT be reviewed with missing information. ALL PROJECTS MUST BE COMPLETED UPON SUBMISSION.
Extra's: Be prepared to provide proof of licenses for licensed material such as music, stock footage and sound effects. We will also require a copy or access to the project's screenplay for final product comparisons. Be prepared for additional questions.
When will you get back to me?
