Rath I

"My fight was never with you"

- Rath I

Biography

Played by Steven Acedo

Rath I (formally Rath of Auxdra) – Rath is considered the cruelest leader in Ganadan history. He is also considered Gan Ä€dan’s greatest failures. He was the black sheep of the family and struggled as a hunter while growing up and had trouble connecting with other people. This was frowned upon by his family, not only could he not hunt but he was socially awkward. He is the older adoptive brother of Jaul, although he never saw them as family. When Jaul was adopted, Rath was often ignored resulting in him to grow jealous with resentment.

In 8033, Rath met and befriended Trobathian, Eve. Through their friendship, Rath began to open up emotionally and began to learn social etiquette with her help. He began to fall in love with her and when he shared his affections, she rejected him and admitted she was actually in love with Jaul, who at the time wasn’t romantically interested in her. Rath became angry but forgave her when he realized Jaul was uninterested. Eve began to pursue Jaul and the two eventually became an item and married in secret. Rath became furious.

The event sent Rath over the edge and he began to form a following in retaliation of The Seven. In 8034, Eve became pregnant which was against the law. Jaul kept the secret in order to stay a member of The Seven but Rath quickly discovered it and spread the news, although he had no idea how far along Eve was and shortly began to have The Seven assassinated and later began to invade Gan Ādan with his following that called themselves Dream Demons.

Rath hunted the couple forcing Jaul and Eve to think of another plan. Being a descendent of Barik, he knew the location of the Drothka and re-dug the ring. Rath followed Jaul to the ring’s resting place and found Jaul with the ring. After a brief fight, Jaul escaped and ran off to be with Eve who had given birth to a baby girl earlier. The couple ran away to the River RazÄ“l and sent their daughter down the river to be transported to Trobathia. Rath caught up with the couple right after demanding the Drothka, thinking they were going to travel to Trobathia but realized the truth; the child was already born and sent away instead. In result, Rath killed Eve and it was originally believed that Jaul was killed too but later discovered that he had escaped and went into exile. Rath knew that Jaul was alive but did not say anything to maintain the illusion that he had control.

Rath didn’t have it in him to actually kill Eve due to his love for her so he consulted a Dramon Priest to help him. Dramon is a dark form of Draemün. It can be collected and mixed into a potion, imbued into inanimate objects and artifacts. Using one of Rath’s daggers, a Dramon Priest dipped the dagger into Dramon potion. In order for a Trobathian to become a Vek O, which would grant them immortality, they would first have to end their mortal lives. This would be accomplished when Rath stabs Eve. Once he did so, the Dramon immediately started to take effect and Eve’s body became pale far too quickly as the Dramon entered her bloodstream forcing her veins to appear more intensely. She was reborn as Merila.

Merila secretly gave birth to Rath’s son, Anú. The boy was sent away with Dramon Priests. Merila never spent time with Anú and although she attempted to find him many times, she was unable to do so.

The Dark Ages brought upon the demographic, cultural and economic deterioration that occurred in the western, southern and eastern hemispheres of Gan Ä€dan following the decline of the Egalitarian Era. Rath then declared himself emperor and disowned his district name and family seal and became known as Rath I. Hacradia was the biggest and most powerful nation who stood against him and his “government”. He made Rizandor his home and changed their colors to black and red. Red was used because no other district claimed the color as it has been labeled as evil due to it being the same color as blood. Rath and his demons wore the skin of animals which resulted in a heavy stench. He and his Demon Soldiers use black war paint with blood to cover their faces and body during battle.

In 8048, Fox returned to Gan Ä€dan for good and he issued a Fox Hunt. During this time he had impregnated Merila, a devoted follower and deadly killer. The boy was born in secret and named Anú who would eventually re- launch elements of The Dark Ages in 8089.

In 8054, Rath had recruited one of Fox’s Trobathian ex- lover’s, Xander Veicht as one of his demons. Xander was ordered to lure Fox to him by using her best friend, Mina Abrams, but instead got lost in his own heartbreak. When Fox beat Xander, Rath had him transported back to Trobathia using Dramon to keep an eye on Mina. When Rath discovered that Mina was willing to do whatever it took to hurt Fox, he had Xander assassinated and later set it out for her.

In 8056, Rath issued Regulation 2-83, an order to kill any Trobathian visitors after it was discovered Daisy Peterson, who was Fox’s true love, was visiting. Fox was always one step ahead of Rath and capturing Daisy proved to be difficult. Using Mina, he had her lure Daisy to him. At this time, Rath had revealed to Mina that the kiss she shared with who she thought was Xander pretending to be Fox (in Season One) was actually him; Rath had shapeshifted as Fox to manipulate Mina which made her infuriated with Ganadan citizens as she believed they were nothing but liars and decided to join Rath in capturing Daisy. This betrayal ended Fox and Mina’s friendship forever, something Mina did not intend to do.

From this point on Rath had been successful in wounding Fox, her Brotherhood and defending hi splace as ruler of Gan Adan until The Great Battle. Due to an untreated leg injury that became infected, Rath, along with his old age, became slower and weaker. Although he begged Fox to give him a warrior's death, it was ultimately Anu, his son, who killed him.
