Eve of Auxdra

"You are my truest love."

- Eve of Auxdra

Biography

(Trobathian Name: Genevieve de Beaumont)

Played by Janelle Garcia

Not much is known about Eve’s past life in Trobathia except she was born in Fortmount, North Dakota in 1970 and always had the keen ability to connect with people and the world around her and had a way with words to express her empathy. She didn’t believe in violence nor did she practice hate, however, she often felt overwhelmed with trying to find jobs she was passionate about and being smothered by her family to settle down, that would occasionally cause her to lash out and

become very bitter. At around 23 years-old, she fell into a depression that often exhausted her. It was during this time she first visited Gan Ä€dan and encountered Rath. He was immediately taken by her beauty and she immediately connected with him on a platonic level. He was misunderstood and so was she. They became great friends and eventually, he fell in love with her. While he was trying to court her, he introduced her to Jaul, his younger adoptive brother. Although Jaul was uninterested in her, at first, she was smitten with him. Rath began to notice and confessed his love for her but she kindly rejected him and set her eyes on Jaul.

While playing "hard to get", Jaul and Eve eventually became fell deeply in love which resulted in Rath to become jealous, bitter and cold. Their friendship was falling apart and he would often yell at her and push her around, but she would fight back in her own way; she would play mind games on him easily which proved that as kind and warm as Eve was, she also had a dark side and wasn’t afraid to use it. Rath not only liked this but hated it because deep down, he knew she was just playing with his head and emotions. Eventually their friendship became extinct and Eve gave up her life in Trobathia to be with Jaul. The two married in secret, this was the happiest time of their relationship.

Jaul taught her how to speak Ohaplushlang fluently to help her blend in. The marriage produced a baby girl. The child was not formally given a name due to the hectic events that surrounded her birth, however, as a term of endearment, Eve called her, ‘her little fox’. Fox would often dream of her voice, calling her fox and adopted the name when she was in her teens not truly understanding who the voice belonged to or why.

During the events of Rath’s uproar, Eve and Jaul sent their daughter to Trobathia to be safe until she would return. Although both of them hoped they would live to see their daughter return to them, deep down they knew they would  probably die for their actions. Eve died in Jaul’s arms after being stabbed in the back by Rath…. or so we thought that's how it happened.

Rath didn’t have it in him to actually kill Eve due to his love for her so he consulted a Dramon Priest to help him. Dramon is a dark form of Draemün. It can be collected and mixed into a potion, imbued into inanimate objects and artifacts. Using one of Rath’s daggers, a Dramon Priest dipped the dagger into Dramon potion. In order for a Trobathian to become a Vek O (Dark One), which would grant them immortality, they would first have to end their mortal lives. This would be accomplished when Rath stabs Eve. Once he did so, the Dramon immediately started to take effect. She was reborn as Merila.

Merila’s first official appearance was when Rath issued Regulation 66. Shévan of Raxnovov, after having spent time with Eve before her transformation, immediately recognized her, however, he also knew the twisted nature of Rath and his devotion to Dramon. Shévan, a coward, continued to follow orders and considered Eve dead since the new person to consume her body was far different and far worse.

Under the influence of Dramon, Eve didn’t make an appearance for years which resulted in Rath devoting a shrine in her honor. He had fallen in love with Eve not Merila and although he physically had her, the woman he fell in love with was gone, however, ironically Merila often joined him when he would visit the shrine.

She was very ruthless, cutthroat and cold. Like Rath’s other Demon Soldiers, Merila often drank a mysterious liquid that was created with the water from The River RazÄ“l using Dramon [Dray- mon] (Dark Magic). This was how Rath and Dramon Priests were able to control her. She was nicknamed Ah Jokota (The Jaguar) due to her primal instincts; she could virtually take on a wide scale of opponents with the preference for large prey. She also preferred to stalk and ambush her prey rather than chase them. She was rarely in a rush, saving her energy and speed for her fighting, and walks down forest paths slowly, listening for and stalking prey before ambush. She attacked usually through her victim's blind spot with a quick pounce, jab, grab or tackle. Her ambushing skills were unequal to any other Ganadan or Trobathian, and remains today known as one of the greatest warriors to have ever lived.

When Merila first encountered Fox they fought but Merila was far more skilled than Fox was, however, when Fox managed to get the upper hand she pulled back and said, “I don’t want to kill you!” At this moment, Merila felt something she had never felt before (since consuming the Dramon). She felt warmth. Although at first she didn’t understand why, she eventually realized it was because she recognized her daughter. When she returned to Rath, he became furious. Although initially it was believed because she wasn’t ready to fight Fox due to her skills, it was really because Rath feared that Fox would trigger a memory or a feeling within Merila, which did happen but she didn’t tell him that.

Eventually it was revealed to Fox who her mother really was which coincided with mixed feelings but a mother's love cannot be hidden for long. Through her hand-maiden and best friend, Deja of Ioshna, Eve gave her instructions to pass down an ancient sword that once belonged to Barik of Rizandor, to her daughter. In her letter, it was discovered that he is also a distant relative of Fox and her father. With a legendary sword at her side and the support of her mother, Fox faced Rath but was fatally injured.

A year later, Eve escaped Rath and searched for Fox only to find out that she in order to cheat death, Daisy Peterson and Deja gave her Dramon. Leading The Brotherhood to rescue Fox, Eve was to distraught over Fox's wellbeing that she could not do what was necessary to turn her back. With the help of Daisy, Fox was able to return.

As time went by, Eve had fallen reluctantly in love with Sylvan of Viscardia, who eventually was revealed to be a spy of her son, Anu. Anu was born a little over a year after Fox and was separated from his mother immediately. Although she tried to look for him, she was unsuccessful due to the protection of Rath's Priests that surrounded him.

During the Great Battle, Eve sought her revenge and killed Sylvan with the help of Deja. Shortly after, however, tragedy struck. In an epic duel, Anu and Fox fought but Eve intervened and was killed by Anu's hand. Ashamed and guilt ridden, Anu ran away and Eve died in her daughter's arms.
