Devorah obeyed and ran until she reached the River Razel in District 1108. It was during this run when she discovered her Ganadan ability: speed. When she reached the river, she stopped and turned around only to realize that she was alone. Her mother was struck by an arrow while blocking Devorah as she ran away.

Although years had gone by, Devorah never really found closure about the status of her mother and searched for her. When she reached her 19th rotation, she was captured by Rath’s demons and was ordered to follow his command. She refused but because she was female, Rath sentenced her to be executed. Merila saw something in her and believed her to be useful. Devorah was forced to consume Dramon, and the rage she had developed over the years over the death of her father and the disappearance of her mother invaded her every thought. She turned dark.

 

Devorah became Deja under the Dramon and served as Merila’s hand maiden. Together they would torture victims and prisoners. They were the most feared women in all of Gan Adan for their ruthlessness. Although she found it hard to sleep, whenever she was able to, Deja would have dreams of her family but didn’t realize it due to the side effects of Dramon. This would conflict her from time to time, an experience she shared with Merila. Deja was by Merila’s side when she started to question her feelings about Fox and Jaul. Although they both didn’t know how to express it, they supported each other.

 

While Deja was hunting the Brotherhood with Merila, they were separated; Merila encountered Fox and Deja encountered Oron. These fights lead to one big battle between The Brotherhood and the Hacradian’s which resulted in Merila escaping but Deja being captured by the Brotherhood. Oron often kept her company and although she initially found him irritating, she eventually found him endearing and fell in love with him.

 

The longer she was detached from Dramon, the more Devorah came to the surface. This was a very conflicting time for her due to the memories that returned. She aided the Brotherhood with their plans to overthrow Rath but when Fox was mortally wounded, she suggested in order to save her life, Fox would need to consume her last vial of Dramon. Daisy gave permission and Fox’s life was saved but it came with a price; Fox turned dark.

During this time, Oron blamed her for the affect the Dramon had on Fox and in result, the rest of Gan Adan, which caused a rift in their relationship. Time heals all wounds, so they say and Fox eventually turned back. Oron and Deja's relationship grew stronger and deeper, and eventually began to expand; Deja was pregnant. Although deep down both were very happy, the times stirred mixed feelings of fear and excitement. Their experience was brief when Deja suffered a miscarriage during the events of Anu's ambush, just before the Great Battle.

The miscarriage brought about a sad time for everyone and the only good thing about it was the path it paved for Deja and Oron's marriage. The couple were married just before the Great Battle and went to war by each other's side.

After the war, the pair embarked many struggles with family life but always managed to keep their children a present priority. Fox's death led the couple to follow Ronin of Auxdra against Anu's brutal army which eventually led to their deaths. Deja died next Oron on the battlefield.
